someone the other day called cevans in red sea diving resort “soft stomached” which is a concept I dig but also, but like that’s still def a man who works out. Just ‘cause he’s not dehydrated to fuck for those abs like the MCU had him doesn’t mean he didn’t put in the hours for that wetsuit physique. That’s what ripped looks like when you treat your body right, instead of Hollywood hoping you cut your shirt on those abs.
Didn’t we have this discussion about Jason Mamoa, too?
ALSO I guarantee you he is probably stronger, more energetic and has better longevity with that ‘soft stomach’
This^^ isn’t ‘soft stomach’ this is FUNCTIONAL REAL MUSCLE.
The way he looked in the MCU is hot, sure, but what’s hotter is knowing he could actually lift a decent amount more looking like this than like Cap.
To get Cap’s look you gotta be dehydrated as FUCK which leaves u tired as shit, there’s a reason professional bodybuilders ONLY look like that during their comps!!!
I’m military and all the guys I know look like this (sometimes thiccer even) and most of them are absolute freaks athletically (in a good way of course)
Functionally strong Chris is hot as HELL that man looks like he could carry all three of your kids AND six bags of groceries without breaking a sweat and we 👏🏼 fucking 👏🏼 stan👏🏼
And it’s these types of comments that people tend to ignore because they were made about a man. If someone commented on a woman’s “soft stomach” there would shit flying everywhere. Men are sexualized in Hollywood too, especially in action films. But they cannot look like that all the time. It’s not possible. They spend hours - HOURS - everyday in a gym, training HARD, to look like that.
Not once when I saw these gifs/photos did I think he looked any less fit. In fact, I find this more appealing than Cap’s physique.
I love seeing posts that acknowledge the dangerous body standards that are ALSO set for men. Like I’m sorry, I find someone who’s able to eat and drink water much sexier than someone who has to starve/dehydrate themselves for a six pack.
